The will to excel

The will to excel

This year, one of the kids whom we support made us so proud that we have to celebrate her achievement. Her name is Lauren and she is in the 9th grade. First of all, she graduated at the top of her class at her local school, the Nazarene Evangelical Elementary and Middle School. Second, and to explain to our non-Lebanese friends, in Lebanon 9th graders have to take a governmental exam after they complete their school exam in order to move on to the 10th grade. We are extremely proud to say that Lauren has passed the exam with distinction and has ranked 21 out of 54,966 students who took the exam this year. We are so excited about this achievement knowing that she’s actually not even a Lebanese citizen but a Syrian refugee.

When someone has the will and wants to excel, they can excel in any environment and anywhere, wherever they might be. Now we have registered her in a private Christian High School and we can’t wait to see what she’s going to do in the next three years until graduation.

All the best my dear Lauren. You are one incredible person and may the Lord bless every step you take to achieve what you want in the future.
